this is the 42nd running of the Suzuka 8 Hours World Endurance Series, which has always been an exciting race to shoot. Typically the weather is rather steamy and hot because its the start of the summer just after the wet and soggy rainy season finishes up. Summer also is the kick off for typhoon season and just like last year, a typhoon has blessed us with its effects on the eve of the race. Last year it blew through overnight and left us a decent race day on Sunday. This year seems to be pretty much the same, just not as windy and the main part of the storm hit Suzuka middle of the morning on Saturday, basically canceling most of the free practice activities and cutting the TOP 10 time trials down to 40min segments ahead of tomorrow’s race, which is expected to go on as expected. Stay tuned for more details!
